My bun will sneeze on occasion.  It has a regularity about once a week or so.  My place can be very dusty at times (trouble with being a bachelor) so I am not surprised to hear a quick series of the cutest little ‘choos’ coming from her cage.  But I was wondering if anyone knows if just sneezing alone is a symptom that should be looked into or that it is ok until other signs start to show up (such as discharge).

I think only if there is discharge. My vet is never too worried about sneezing as many times sneezing is an environmental thing.

I too would say if there is discharge, then to take her to the vet as that is a concern.  My Daffodil is allergic to too much dust in hay so I must keep a neat and tidy cage to alleviate her symptoms and not that she is spoiled or anything, but I also have a smaller air purifier in the room too, in addition to the much larger one in the hallway. Are the eyes red or puffy at all? If so then I would make sure it is just allergies and not something else.

7 1/2 sneezes per day is the sneezy limit.  Just kidding!

Anyway, an occasional sneeze or even an occasional series of sneezes is usually okay – Sometimes they’ve sniffed up something – hay dust or some irritant, so they are just sneezing it out, but if you begin to hear it more often and it becomes a daily thing, you may want to investigate further to determine whether it’s something in her environment or she needs a trip to the vet.

One other symptom that it may be more serious is crust on the inside of the paws. If there’s no crust or discharge and she’s sneezing rarely she’s likely ok. One thing that can set it off it the hay or pellet dust.

Shadow has bouts of sneezing. He sneezes so hard you can hear him in the next room and you think it would blow him across the room. It happens every few days, and I always check for discharge and find none.

My house is a horrendous dust magnet. Clutter I don’t mind, but I am sensitive to dust so it is a constant battle. You would think I owned stock in swiffers the way I go through a box.

yup!  especially now that i know it’s not always a symptom of a worse problem (thanks markusdark!)

bunzai… having mostly hard flooring i am also big on swiffers BUT i just found another really cool thing to help.  they are – ridiculous as it sounds – dry mop slippers.  no they’re not very sexy looking.  they do work well tho!  so you basically sweep / dust up as you pitter patter around the house.

I second that gravehearted, that bunny looks right pissed off to me! "Any closer and I’ll claw your face off!" That poor baby is going to need therapy when they grow up.
