Ok, so I don’t know how many of you will be interested in this but it would be great gift ideas if nothing else. I turn 30 in 2 months so I grew up in the 1980’s with some of the best cartoons ever! Rainbow brite, Carebears, Fraggles, etc.

I came across this website called 80stees.com that has all the cartoons and TV shows from the 80s as well as current shows on T-shirts and sweatshirts. I had to order a guys shirt though because some of those girl sizes (juniors) are small…

The cost is pretty realistic and there is so much to see! Transformers (original stuff), food shirts, Back to the Future, Thundercats, etc.

I bought my husband a “Punisher” shirt, a Star Trek shirt and a Married with Children shirt and he loved them.

I was born in 82 so I caught most of the 80s as a little kid but I remember all the cartoons! So many great ones!!!

My bf told me about that site, I think I’ll have to check it out for some Christmas ideas.

I was born in 1978. My sister was born in 1973 and I was always with her. I love the 70s and the 80s but boy, am I glad I was a teenager in the 90s! That 80s fashion is surely something else!
I do love ABBA thanks to my sister and mom (who is barely 20 years older than me – yes, same mom as my sister’s… and she was married… you do the math!).
Fraggles! I remember those! I used to be scared of them but I had to watch them… because my sister did! Haha!

I’m a 60’s baby, but I can remember all those shows…particularly Care bears because my kids were totally into them when they were little. My daughter’s favorite movie was the Care Bears Nutcracker…we had to watch that over and over… >.<

That is, if they weren’t watching *shudder* Barney *runs away screaming*

What was the name of that Henson piece that was the room where the toys came to life? It was on the same time as Fraggles…?

I am also a 60’s baby and I can also remember a lot of those. My children were born in the 80’s. My son used to wear a ninja turtle costume. What great memories.

80’s were high school & college for me.

That list is scary – but, how come no “Wake me up, before you go go!”

One thing I always remember about the 80’s is that is when Rolling Stone Magazine started to cover more politics – because there was so little music news to cover!

Well, I graduated from high school in 1981 so I do consider that I grew up in the 80’s although I was born in the 60’s but have no recollection of the 60’s.

Of course, I still consider myself to be growing up :~)

C&C – I was born in 86 too, but remember all of these things… I guess because of my older siblings? A lot stuck around through the 90’s too though!

Yeah, I was born 79 so I was a teen in the 90’s so I guess really as long as you can remember any of it then it works. I just love that sight.

I bought a Fraggle Rock shirt that I love! I had to buy a male large though because I am “well endowed” you could say. lol Those juniors wouldnt fit my chest.

76 for me, so defanatly an 80s kid. Loved Fraggel rock growing up and Voltron. Cartoons were defiantly the best at those times.

Sooo, funny! I’d forgotten a lot of that stuff! Pound Puppies and spokey-dokes and the Carebear Stare…I LOVE it! And Slip & Slides are the stupidest masochistic device ever invented! I can’t believe they still sell those!

(I also second the opinion that it was best to be a KID in the 80’s, and a teenager in the 90’s! Much fewer fashion-disaster photos to be embarassed by now!)

It was a cartoon that made you think, that’s why it didn’t really work.

i was born in 1970 but consider myself growing up in the 80’s.  denial.  lol.  actually… i was pretty sheltered as a pre-teen kid plus i don’t have an older sibling.  i listened to a lot of classic rock of the 70’s during the 80’s.  but mid-late 80’s dance was lots of fun… c&c music factory / milli vanilli / tone loc / young mc / run dmc / rob base.  love those massive shoulder pads & neon colors.  balloon pants.  hahaha.
