        Hey guys,

Bo bunny gets about 2 cups of greens a day, a small handful of pellets (1/4th of a cup), and a bunch of hay.  He of course goes through all of it.  Should I be giving him a second feeding of greens and hay?

        Thanks!

I constantly refill my bunny’s hay though out the day and I usually just do the greens once a day and cut the 1/4 of a cup of pellets in half for one in the morning and one at dinner time so he always has something. I also give him a few sprigs of cilantro or 2 raisins as well for treats or “snackies” which he responds to more in between lol.

Definitely give him unlimited hay a month. Its their main part of their diet, and need constant access to it. So if Bo gets low, refill

I agree with the hay as Monkeybun suggests. How old is Bo?

                I feed:
                Morning around 8am:
                1/4 cup pellets
                2 cups of greens

                Evening around 10pm:
sprinkle of pellets (less than 1/16th of a cup I would guess)
                2 cups of greens

This way he has food more or less around the clock (he doesn’t finish his breakfast until 5pm sometimes).

I missed the part about hay – definitely give him as much as he’ll eat.

I would also give him more pellets. A bun his age really sould be on unlimited pellets so at the very least I think he can get 3/4c or something. At that age I was giving my bun almost a cup a day. The extra calories in pellets are really important for growing buns.

Check out the diet link in the BB info section – it lays out the feeding requirements for young rabbits with exactly how much you should be feeding at which life stages.
