            Ditto. Vet asap.

She probably need pain management and that wound must be looked at. Bites can abscess easily in rabbits and then it’s even more difficult to heal. Sorry if this sounds harsh, but don’t be seeking help for this online. She has to see a professional.

Welll i talked to the vet, and he said she sounded fine, but then today she doesnt seem fine. She just started eating again, but im  not sure thats good enough, shes obviously in a lot of pain, and idk what to do, we live in a very small town, and the only vet thats around here that takes rabbits is 40 minutes away, and is closed until Monday.. but i talked to him again this morning, and he said i should bring her in, sounds like its infected. how am i suppose dto bring her in, if the vet is closed?! Imm not sure how im supposed to deal with this…

If he’s closed but he said to bring her in, ask him what he wants done… he might have been saying he’ll see her even though they don’t normally since it’s emergency. Don’t ask us, ask him. My vet will see buns past closing time if he has to for their health.

For something like this, I’d go to any vet even if they don’t usually see rabbits. A good vet would consult with another that is rabbit experienced to get advice.

Be very vigilant about flies. Are the rabbits indoors or out?  Even indoors, flies can still be an issue. You do not want a case of Flystrike.

Rabbits arent meant to have baths.
The type of wound depends whether you are meant to keep it wet or just let it heal dry. Is it a deep wound? Or a scratch? Can you post a picture of the wound? If you gave your bunnies a bath then this wound will have a higher chance of being infected and also getting flystrike. also where abouts did it bite her?

I’ve moved this to the Rainbow Bridge Section.

I’m sorry to hear about Bugs. Dog bites can be very fatal to rabbits. I hope you ended up taking your other rabbit to the vet so you can establish a relationship with him/her for any future emergencies.

I agree. I hope that you keep the dog away from the rabbits. They can go so fast when it comes to medical emergencies. Are there any ER vets in the area in case that your regular vet is out of the office?

I’m also sorry to hear that your rabbit passed.
