I was wondering if anyone knew if it would be ok to give a rabbit small horse treats. There’s a brand at the store by me called Dobbin’s Delights. They have treats called Apple Hugs. Here is the info…

Of course I would feed sparingly and break them into smaller pieces but they are much cheaper so I was wondering if they would be ok??

I’d say no for sure on the second one, there’s a LOT of sugar in that one. But honestly I don’t buy treats for my buns, they practically dance for a bit of banana or apple

“When in doubt, don’t.” Although certain products, like litter, can be crossed over between some animals, a food that isn’t natural (like fruit or veggies) has, we hope, been designed for the animal it’s being marketed to. Even those said to be for bunnies are often not good for them. Considering the difference in size, I would be concerned about quantity of ingredients in the treats, and they’re usually hard to cut down. I’d suggest sticking with simple, natural fresh or manufactured treats specifically for bunnies, just to be on the safe side.
