My bunny (sex unknown) honked at me several times today! Mumbles is a little over 3 months now, and just starting to get hormonal. She/He’s started a lot of chewing and digging, which is kinda cute, lol.
Either way, she/he was playing in my bedroom because I had opened the door in my morning stupor and forgot she/he could get in. It was fine until sshe started chewing on my clothes. The first attempt left a little hole in my jeans. I said no and guided her away. Mumbles went right back and tried again. Another no and nudge away. On the third try she was nuts about it, trying to bite anything she/he could get to! I tried to say no and nudge her away, but she hinked at me! Every time I tried to get her off of the clothes she honked and turned to my hand as if to try and bite me! I ended up having to throw a towel on her to pick her up just to get her out..

Other than this she/he completely trusts me. Comes up to me, licks my face, flops against me, sleeps, loves to be pet.. Mumbles has never done this..

Is this normal for her to show such sudden aggression toward me?? She/He seems to be perfectly happy with me now..

And could this be an indication of sex? I’ll know when I take her/him to get speutered in about a month, but i keep taking everything as clues to try to figure it out ahead of time.

sorry for the big huge story, and thanks!

It sounds like Mumbles is entering the teenage years and is throwing a bit of a temper tantrum when you don’t let her get away with stuff. I’m sure it will calm down with speutering and age.

You’ll probably need to get sex confirmation before you take him/her to get altered. Females are usually not spayed before 6 months, males can be neutered earlier than that, at about 3-4 months. Can you turn the bunny over gently? This is about the time when testicles will become visible in males.
