I make dog biscuits and I wondered if anyone makes home made rabbit treats?

I’ve seen lots of people say they do. They also post recipies and such. I always say I’m going to write it down and really make them this time… but I never do. It’s not a lack of time, I just think that if I make treats for Freya before the snickerdoodles my husband has been asking for for about a year he might get a little upset.

I found this information on this website: http://amazingdwarfs.blogspot.com/2…okies.html

            Raspberry Cookies

Hey, so your rabbit LOVES raspberries. She binkies and drools, and stomps when it’s not served quickly! Give your eating monster something nice to eat. Like this! (Remember you can always freeze as an alternative)

            (Credit to Bunny Treats)

            1/3 cup Frozen Raspberries, de-thawed
            1/2 Tbsp Dried Mint
            1/3 cup Rabbit Pellets
            3 Tbsp Old Fashion Oats

            Preheat oven to 375 degrees

With a fork, mash raspberries together
            Mix raspberries with mint.

Grind pellets (use a coffee grinder only used to make rabbit treats)
Mix with oats. Slowly add dry mixture to raspberry, mint mixture until well blended together. Using a teaspoon measuring spoon, spoon out onto a cookie sheet covered in parchment paper (it prevents sticking and doesn’t add any grease)
Flatten cookies with a fork to about 1/4″ thick
Cook for 20 minutes or until brown on bottom. Let cool (For a crunchier treat, turn off oven and leave in until stove cools)
Once cooled, place in sealed container or bag. Can be left out for about a week but to prevent spoiling, refrigerate or freeze treats

            Makes About 18-20 cookies

*This Recipe is great for those winter months when raspberries are out of season.

I haven’t tried this myself… if anyone does please provide a review. I really think the the oats, baking temp, and time are what is really needed to make treats – I’m guessing that you can change up the fruit.

              Guily-it’s easy.

And trust me when I say easy. I cook-sandwhiches and mac and cheese. That’s the extend of my kitchen powers…and sometimes they don’t turn out. I am NO martha stewart.

Combind ingredients in a blender. Spoon on to baking sheet. Cook at 250 until done. That’s it.

Ingredients: Veggies in a blender. Add oats to make them cookie dough consistency. That’s it that’s all LOL

I’m pretty good at baking human treats but I’ve never done anything for bunny treats. What I thought would be really easy is to get a food dehyrator to make bunny treats. My bunnies LOVE dried carrots and go crazy for them, and they also love dried apple and banana.

Ugh I wish I had time to do things like this. My parents would think I was nuts for cooking for them. If it was for the dogs it would be a different story. I hate favoritism! Not that I don’t love our dogs! Tuesday I have the day off, and everyone will be at work. *Ponders*

I used to cook for my birds too lol

Dehydrators   read the directions for different  foods.  Apples and potatoes have to be boiled or put in microwave for a bit due to the sugar content.    Then after that into the dehydrator.

I have one too and I dont’ use it much.   The order I had gotten from BB the dried apples oh my buns loved them.
