Unfortunately rabbits really shouldn’t wear clothing, although they do look cute in them haha. For treats yogurt drops, cookies, crackers, bread, dairy, cake, ect. (any human food) are not good for rabbits. They cause buildup of bad bacteria which can hurt a bunny ): Fruits (go to BinkyBunny rabbit info for approved list) are good treats. To learn more about treats: http://rabbit.org/faq/sections/treat.html As for homemade treats I make Wilbur bunny biscuits, here’s the recipe from rabbit.org:

            Brenda’s Homemade Bunny Biscuits
Remember, these are treats, so give them sparingly.

            1 small carrot, pureed
1/2 banana, mashed until really creamy
            1 tbsp honey
1/4 cup rabbit pellets, ground finely in a coffee grinder
1/4 cup ground oats, ground finely in a coffee grinder

Mix pureed carrot, banana and honey in a medium bowl. Add pellet powder and ground oats. Mix until blended. Knead in your hands for 1-2 minutes. Roll out the “dough” in 1/8- to 1/4-inch thick layers between sheets of plastic wrap. Cut into small cookies (about 3/4 inch across). Place cut shapes onto a parchment paper covered cookie sheet. Bake at 325 degrees for about 30 minutes (check to make sure they are not browning too much). Turn off the heat and let the cookies sit in the warm oven for an hour or so.

Brenda adds: Next time, I am going to try finely ground rolled oats in place of the flour. I am sure that lots of other changes could be made, and these would still work. For example you could replace the carrot with apple or pear.

what does pureed carrot mean, and when you say small carrot, do you mean the minis that you can buy, or just one smaller big carot, if that makes sense?

Pureed carrot means you take regular slices of carrots and puree them in a blender or food processor (:

Just check the label for additives or sugar. I think an organic natural baby food carrot would probably be ok. Puree is mush.

I’ve never tried to make homemade treats and stuff. There are so many great treats that are already available (Oxbow makes awesome cookies!) that it’s never been worth my time and effort.

You could always try making little animals out of fruit or something. Like arrange veggies and/or small amount of fruit into things that look like other things. lol idk

Well, first off… I don’t cook at all.  I have an amazing husband who does all the cooking/baking.  Altho I can make brownies out of a box if necessary.

Second, as a mother, wife, recent college graduate, and newly-licensed medical professional seeking employment (not to mention my BB duties!), my time is better spent elsewhere.  At a certain point, saving a dollar isn’t worth it.  Maybe if I had nothing else going on in my life, I would give it a try…

I don’t give the buns baked treats, they go nuts for banana’s and fruit and that is so much better for them anyway

Another good point.  Fresh foods are so much better for them than things with a lot of carbs.  I feed cookies EXTREMELY sparkingly (maybe 1-2 cookies a week?) so the issue I would have with homemade cookies is that I’d be throwing them away because of a lack of preservatives.  The manufactured cookies I have currently have a “Best By” date of April 2013.  This bag will last me a long time.

Man, if you take out the rabbit pellets, I’d eat those!

I’ve never heard of rabbit frosting… I’d be really vigilant and check the ingredients on that one…
