Just got Bunner’s home from his visit.  Everything went well, except he wasn’t taking the sedatives/anesthesia.

Long story short, he has multiple marks from his iv/fluids/anesthesia on his arms.   And they removed one bandage, but the other one they left and said I should take it off when we got home.

I CAN’T GET IT OFF.  And Bunner’s will not stop fussing it.

I don’t want to hassle him too much and hurt his incision, but he will not leave it alone.

        Suggestions?

I’m glad he’s home & fine. Sorry no ideas for bandage removal. I wonder if that’s why they left it, too stuck!

So it’s adhesive? If me, I would try wetting it first, then food grade mineral oil or a little olive oil to loosen it up if water doesn’t work. Great to hear all op is over and done with!

Is it Vetwrap/colorful stretchy cling?  We often send pets home with those if the IV was taken out recently as it helps prevent brusing.  As it gets warm from body heat the end can “disappear”-  if you are careful you can use a sm pair of scissors and insert between bandage and leg and cut a slit in the bandage and loosen it to get it off- or cut if off all the way.  If you end up leaving it on just make sure that hig leg below the bandage does not start to look swollen or bigger than the opposite leg.

Is he bothering his incision, is that what you mean?  Or are you afraid that messing with the bandage will make him to be active?
