I just got back from taking Holbutt from the vet. The vet agreed with me that it was a good idea to bring her in after seeing the massive lump under her chin. They xrayed her and decided it was an abcess.  They were able to drain a lot of it. They gave me some antibiotics for her.

We also talked about diet. I’m supposed to feed her 1/8 cup of pellets and mostly veggies. The vet wants me to get her eventually strictly on veggies.  Also, she told me to stop putting hay in her litter box.  Only put it in for feeding.  It was an expensive but good trip.

Holly was very stressed but she is doing okay.  She’s destressing in her enclosure. I hope Zach won’t be too loud for her.  I have to go, but I thought I’d let you know what happened.

I’m glad you were able to find out what is wrong with her.

I am glad it is something treatable like an infection as opposed to other horrible possibilities!

Good Luck and keep up updated.
