Boyfriend is off for the whole week for thanksgiving and he usually goes to bed at 9pm, so the buns lose free run when we go to bed. Well, I think they are enjoying his holiday more than he is! They get to stay up late, do extra zoomies/binkies, get let out in the morning when I wake up and Stickers even tried to steal my blanket (SHE HAS HER OWN! MINE!) off my lap this morning and of course, he spoils them with treats lol he even bought lumber to block off our bed so they can come back in the bedroom (they lost bedroom access after Powder decided to climb into the box springs and try to eat the support beams) and Powder can jump onto the bed for cuddles again. We’re going to buy them their own thanksgiving feast tomorrow, lots of SALAD (they don’t get certain expensive / hard to get greens often, but it’s a special occasion, their first thanksgiving with us!).

What do your buns get to do this holiday ?

How dare she steal your blanket? that stickers sounds like a sassa-frass

I think my Bun will probably hate the holidays as much as I enjoy them. He has to go to his grandparents house where he gets less free time out and frequently gets frightened by his cousins- 2 tame dogs (my parents) and 1 kujo dog (my brothers).

On the bright side for Bun Franklin, they have a really good selection of veggies at the local grocery store here and they all looked so good (and organic!) that I went a little crazy and got him some new stuff to try (one at a time for him of course). Cilantro he says is “aight” but “def not” on parsley. And my mom loves her “grandbunny” as she calls him and like to spoiling him with treats and toys. (i’m sorta worried about the treat thing on the day I’m not here).

That’s funny. Those buns are gonna need a week to recover.

I just bought their holiday feast veggies and wow are they cheap on the holidays! If they didn’t spoil I would so stock up lol

Got huge bunches of parsley, cilantro, bok choy and mustard greens for $5 for all of it, so I added some sugar peas (I wanted snow peas, but they were brown and gross :s) to the list – total price for their holiday feast $7.50 lol if only the human one was that cheap.

Wish I could say the same for veggies here! They start skyrocketing this time of year because most of them come from the US instead of local. $3.50 for dandelion greens and $3.00 for a tiny head of Romaine.

Remind me to post pics of my parsley… lol. At the last RA meeting, I got my paws on a ton of parsley and endive for a whopping $13.00 total. You wouldn’t believe how much I got. Yay for organic and grown in a lady’s garden at home

yeowch thets expensive for greens, there’ a huge asian market here called Mekong, and they have huge dandelion bunches for $1.19, kale for $.99, and romaine/greenleaf for $.79. every sunday (additional 10% off, no not senior day) we’ve been bringing a huge box for the buns at tranquility trail.

In IL i never saw dandelions for less than $2 on sale. but i have yet to find a place here with 25 cent  cilantro bunches like our out mexican market in IL.

apparently they also have shrimp and fish farms in the middle of the desert, so a lot of seafood actually is local

She gets to wonder around her throne, hehe.

When Halloween stuff went on clearance, i bought a black dancing skeleton blanket for Chacha. i put it on her princess couch (aka one person seater couch) and she LOVES to lay on it and sleep!!!!!! It is really hard to get a photo of her, since when she sees me, she wakes up and is cranky. SHe looks SO fluffy when she is loafed up

Endive is very expensive o_O I don’t see many people buying it at my job.

Today is Chacha’s birthday. I bought a pack of baby romaines for her yesterday, along with italian parsley. she will be eating when the humans eat their thanksgiving lunch.

I’ll be ordering a 1 foot cardboard tree for Chacha’s Xmas gift

Yikes LPT, expensive. I was pleasantly surprised that they had all the greens for under $1 a bunch, the buns are happy too. lol I am jealous you guys have dandelion greens in your stores though … we don’t! I used to pull them out of the yard since we had a bunch of dandelions, but with winter coming I can’t do that anymore.
