so I’m continuing my old thread because it wouldn’t let me upload more pictures. I wanted to see if Winters feet have progressed and it looks like they are getting worse? Especially the right foot? It looks almost bigger and swollen..
now I’m at a loss and I don’t know what else I could possibly be doing.. does anybody have any advice? Because they aren’t looking good to me. I’m so disappointed and confused. 😐 😥

-I have layers and layers of fleece blankets laid down in her exercise area.

-3 layers of fleece blankets, with memory foam bath mats underneath, on the hard tray in her cage.
-nail trims current and very regular by the vet. -Hours of exercise when I’m home.
*I have velcro hock socks on the way being delivered to me, i’m expecting them in the next couple of weeks.
-I’m applying flamazine 1% to both feet to prevent infection.

-her litter got changed from wood pellets to softer paper litter pellets. Cleaned x2 a day.

maybe I’m expecting results too soon?

The right foot does look worse, but the left maybe slightly better or the same. Has the vet looked at them recently? The vet may want to wrap them until the booties arrive. if you can save up some of her shedded fur that will help cushion the wrapping. It almost looks like the right foot may have an abscess forming.

Yes I have a plastic bag full of her hair that I’ve been collecting as you suggested to me before. Amen!

I got her an appointment for tomorrow @4 so we’ll see how this goes. 🙁 I’ll bring her hair with me.

My vet is finally allowing people inside so tomorrow will be my first time in. 🙂

Keep us posted! They don’t look too terrible yet but I think having the vet take a look is the right call.

So the vet visit went well! Thank goodness. I showed him my pictures and then he took a look at her, and he said it’s not as bad today as it was from the picture, so that’s good news.
he said I should continue applying the flamazine to both feet, I do it once a day and he said I should bump it up to twice a day. I’m going out of town tomorrow night, so starting Saturday we’re going to do Baytril (x2 a day) for 2 weeks then she’ll go back for follow up.

it was the first time I got to go inside the vets and it felt so good, I feel like I got to have a real conversation with them about her (not just over the phone) and everything that I’ve been doing to help her hocks, he said I’m doing everything possible and he said I’m doing a great job taking care of her. Which was honestly what I needed to hear, I was feeling so discouraged/upset a few days ago.

I brought up the hock socks that I’m waiting for in the mail and he thought it was a good idea! Why not. He gave me some Telfa (non stick pads) that he thinks I should put in between her foot and the hock boot to prevent the boot from getting all yuck from the flamazine inside it. (Since I’ll be putting the cream on her foot, then put the boot on)

ugh so yeah what a good day. I’m so happy it’s looking better than it was! 😛 Maybe it was just a bad day and flaring up.

Yay this makes me happy! I ordered mine from the exact same seller.

Have you seen a noticeable difference with your bun wearing the socks? 😛
