› FORUM › THE LOUNGE › Hiya! Update! Bun Pics! :D
Hey!
I hope everyone is doing well! I haven’t posted in forever, so I thought I would do a bit of an update and of course, some bunny pics!
So, let’s see, bunny updates first. We are currently slaving away under the iron paws of Rocky and Napoleon, Georgia, and Arthas.
Rocky and Napoleon are rescue buns who were found in someone’s backyard in a hoarder situation, but they are the absolute sweetest buns. My husband, Chris, will lay on the floor and Rocky covers his face with kisses. It’s so dang cute!
Georgia is named after the state she was born in. I was visiting family out of state and ended up getting her during my visit. She was just a young bun, but she did amazing on the drive home (which was 5 states from where I live, and took me about 17 hours to drive). Now she is a proper lady bun, very affectionate, ornery and adventurous.
Arthas is very new to our family and still getting settled in. He is also a rescue bun and we plan to eventually bond him with Georgia once we get his neuter squared away. He is named after The Lich King from World of Warcraft, which is one of our favorite games. But he is coming out of his shell and will knock you over if he thinks you have raisins lol.
Now, for the cats. We have two ginger boys, Kyo (named after Kyo Soma from the Fruits Basket anime) and Julius, and Luna (who is a grey Tortie). They cause the usual kitty mischief and are usually guilty of typical One Orange Braincell behavior lol. We have started getting Julius a lion haircut about once a year, because his fur is so long and thick, it gets tangled easily and he roasts in the summer.
For the humans, I graduated college back in 2022 and have been working as a part time freelance artist. I do environment concept art and background art for games and animation. It’s a lot of fun and I have gotten to work with people from all over the world. Chris and I have been together for 6 ½ years and we finally got married last December! Just a small private ceremony by the Little Pigeon River in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. It was awesome! Despite there being some rough spots due to health problems and the financial difficulties that resulted from them, we have been doing pretty well. Our home is filled with love, peace, and lots of sweet furry faces! (Which was not the case when I first joined BB years ago. Things have come a long way for me in my life as well as my knowledge and journey as a bunny mama).
I would love to hear how everyone else and their buns are doing!

My morning wake up motivational team:

Hello, and absolutely love the updates!! Congratulations on graduation and marriage, in addition to having such a wonderful family.
While forum activity is slow, we still have some wonderful members popping in with updates and need for support. Many senior buns have passed, but as is our nature, we tend to rescue more and keep our hearts open!
While Fable is gone on my end, Wick is still around and I have Galaxy as his new roommate– fostering has also been somewhat new and I’ve enjoyed it thus far!

Hi @Wick & Fable! I’m sorry to hear about Fable, but that’s awesome you still have Wick. 🙂 I remember back when you got him. 🙂
It’s true, we try to keep our hearts open because there are so many buns who still need and deserve love, even though we never forget the ones who have crossed the bridge.
I’ve always figured we would be terrible at fostering because I would want to keep them all lol!
Hey! It’s so great to talk to you guys again. I’m glad to hear that life is going well for you and all your pets! They’re all so adorable.
Somehow, this is the first time I’ve logged in in over 4 years, and it was over 8 years ago when I used to be active on this website, so this is a bit nostalgic for me haha.
I was 11 years old when I found this forum, and I want to thank everyone who was active then for teaching me how to properly care for rabbits, as it definitely molded who I am today and my passions. And thank you for everyone who had to deal with my annoying kid self lol. I’m graduating from college with an astronomy BS in a few months, and it’s crazy to think that I’ve had my bunnies with me the whole way.
I adopted a new bun Peaches a couple years ago, and her and Vinny are doing well!

And a throwback to my first bun Reese, who passed away 4 years ago and I miss her so much:

Awww, hi Reesebun! Its great to see so many familiar faces, even all these years later. 🙂
Congrats on almost being done with college! I know it helped me, having the buns cheer me on during crazy times. 🙂 They also made many appearances in school projects. I even did my final business class project (we had to write a business model for a fictional business) about operating and running a rabbit rescue and sanctuary. My professor laughed and said he had never had anyone use rabbits in all his years of teaching, but that I obviously had put a lot of thought into the business model. 😀
And yay for bunny pics! They are adoable!
Brunosmama – OMG! They are all so cute! And congrats on graduating and your marriage! I think it’s interesting that you’re a freelance artist. I know people can be freelance writers and such, but I guess I never thought about artists. Makes sense though.
Reesebun – And it is so good to see you! I’m glad you decided to log into the forum. Your bunnies are super adorable too! Can you actually be graduating college soon? It seems like it hasn’t been this long since you were active on the forum. I remember Reese and how she looked like one of those Puffkins. Oh dear… that ages me.
Wonderful pictures, Bruno’s mama and Reesebun, thank you for sharing! I follow/followed both of you on Insta for a long while (I havent been very active there lately, so I’m kind of not up to date. At all ☹).
Reese was so beautiful with her speckled chest 💗 Wild to think you’re about to graduate college!
I have a nice pic to share, a foster boy who was neutered 3 weeks ago. Hopefully I’ll be able to bond him and my Snöa.

Oh my goodness, Bam, he is so handsome!! I love his coloring!
I’m actually not active on Instagram (or any social media at all) and haven’t been for several years. So, I’m just as out of the loop lol.
I’m glad there are still so many familiar faces here, though! So, we can still catch up! 😀
Well we love hearing from members! So feel free to talk to us, even if it’s just to say “hi” or talk about how cute bunnies are.
This thread makes my heart happy. Beautiful fur babies and familiar people.
JG- I know! I hope you have been well. 🙂 I would love to see pics of your fur babies, too!
