What do you use for the hinges, when you are making the NIC condo’s.  We are on our third condo and trying to find a better way to "hinge" the doors.  Any good suggestions?

i just used zip ties (cable ties) to hinge mine.  i didn’t tighten them as much or criss cross them.

I used zip ties as well without criss crossing them.

Will binder clips make a better hinge? I’ve pondered over that myself because the zip tie isn’t the best, but it works pretty good.

not sure what to call them, but they are the clips you find at the end of a dog leash.  pretty sure that you can find them on their own at a hardware store or even a locksmith shop.  I happen to have a couple laying around for whatever reason and they really worked well for my application.

Those are snap locks, there are also scissor locks, but I generally use those to lock the cage, do they really work as hinges as well?

OH.. I was thinking you were talking about the part that holds the door onto the rest of the cage. I use the zip ties for the permanent part of the door and then binder clips for the other side (it opens like a normal door would).
