  Hello– I just joined, although I have to admit that I have been spying on you all for awhile ! I have one little bunny named Diego Rabbit. She is a tiny little thing, only two pounds and loves to spend her days chasing her friend, Lolita (the cat!).

  Oh my gosh she is cute- and so tiny! Only 2 lbs?!?!?! Do you know what breed she is? I am not good at breeds- but I was expecting to see a Netherland Dwarf when you mentioned how tiny she way- but her fur looks so velvety- like a mini rex maybe?

  yes- Diego Rabbit is the black velvet bunny, she is super soft. Petzy– how big is your mini rex? We have always thought Diego was a mini rex, but she might be extra “mini”.

  I looked up the ARBA standards for mini rex, and actuallly it says that a Junior Doe can weigh between 2 – 3.8 lbs. My mini rex is a male and two years now, he weighs just shy of 5 lbs. How old is Diego? She is a beauty!

  Diego is 9 months old, so I guess she could still put on a few ounces. But big trouble comes in small packages!! She is about as cute as she is a menace, although her sweet moments come more often as she gets a little older.

  Is she spayed? If not, that might be contributing to her “menacing ways”.

  Hi and a big welcome to you and your beautiful mini-rex! I have one named Stormy who is about 3lbs. They are so great. I find they look like plush toys come to life. So velvety and cute.
