It’s been awhile.  shadow is doing a ok.  One quick question. I went to clear the sleep from shadow’s eye and noticed my fingure was alittle wet.  Clear just wet. I’m sure it would be as usual (like humans eyes) but I’ve read things about the eye and nose.  Is this something to get her to a vet.  I know keep a look out.

PS Ideal comfort temp for buns.  It’s alittle cooler at nights here.

It is probably nothing, you might have touched her eye, (wich like all eyes, are wet) or it could be like the stuff that dogs get in their eyes. I would just keep an eye on her and make shure her eyes are not REALLY leaky, that would be the time to worry.

If you find her eye is still leaking, ie. clear wet fur just below where the “sleep” forms in the corner, then she may have a clogged duct, which is common. It will be damp again tomorrow if that’s the case. The vet will have a tube of gunk that clears it up rapidly. Spockie had that for life, and it only got moist about once every 3 months or more. Not a big deal once treated. Should be checked though, in case it’s something else, that may be more serious.

Edit: Much less often that 3 mos. He might not get it for over a year before it came back briefly. Kept the tube of meds handy just in case.
