Hey guys! Time for an update

Most won’t remember me but I’m sure there are a few. Life has been busy for me lately with a baby in the house. It’s been over a year since I have lost Sally and Harley. I still have my lovely Bam to keep me company and I have recently started thinking about getting him a companion. He’s been a bachelor for almost 2 years now and I feel guilty. He follows me around everywhere. Bam is spoiled as ever though and I try to make an effort to give him as much time as possible getting interaction from me.

 

Last anyone has heard from me I was pregnant with a little boy. My last month of pregnancy was hard on my body. I ended up getting an induction because my blood pressure was dangerously high. But everything went smoothly all through labor and I was blessed with a very healthy, 8lb, 6oz baby boy despite being 3 weeks early. Then, a week later I noticed I was unable to taste anything. And then i started stumbling with my words… it was starting to become more and more difficult to get the words to form. My lips went numb. Then my eye started to water from irritation. I quickly ran to the mirror and noticed I could not blink me eye! I quickly checked my blood pressure and it was very high and i was freaking out that I had a stroke or something. So off to the ER. But it wasn’t a stroke thankfully. I did have scary blood pressure which they got stabilized and I was put on medicine for and then they told me it was just bells palsy. I was relieved. Though only half of my face worked it was much better than facing a stroke! I couldn’t drink out of glasses and it was very hard to drink from a straw. I had to physically seal my lips shut in order to drink water. Had to wear an eye patch because i was getting dizzy and blurry vision from not being able to close my eye. Plus it needed protecting. Luckily, after about 6 weeks there was huge improvement and now I am fully recovered with full function of my face! 

 

Sampson is such a happy, go lucky baby and he’s so good to me. He’s going on 7 months now and Bam is slowly getting used to him. He has approached him a few times to say hello but doesn’t stay long. Which is ok. I don’t want to push that relationship lol

OMG NBO!!!!!! Has it been that long? I have been thinking about you, wondering how everything was. Your baby is 7 months old now?! =O So glad to hear you are okay, despite some scary stuff mixed in there. Sampson sure looks happy in that picture!

And look at Bam! He looks just as sweet as ever! I hope you stick around and share him with us (and maybe a new friend for him as well?). We’ve really missed you around here.

I’ll be sure to stick around a bit more! And yeah, I’ve been stalking my shelter for a potential bunny but I haven’t found any that has caught my eye just yet. Though I’m taking my precious time. It could be awhile. But hoping within a year Bam will have a companion. Just need to convince my husband. We travel and already have a bunny sitter for Bam. Just unsure how willing that bunny sitter would take on a second bunny so that’s what is stopping me lol She loves Bam but not sure she is willing to take on TWO when we go on our adventures! A few weeks ago she watched him for 3 weeks!
