I walked into my room this afternoon to find Frankie laying in my bed, which was adorable until I realized he didn’t bother getting up to go to the bathroom, which he only does when he’s really not feeling well (but he could have picked a better place!). I’ve tried to get him to eat and drink, but he’s refusing everything. I’ve tried hay, pellets, greens, and even treats with no avail.

I don’t think he got into anything, so I’m not sure what the cause is, but I’ve locked him up in a pen in my room for the time being. I have to go to work soon, but I left full bowls of food for him when he’s ready… I want to keep an eye on him, but I can’t call into work because my rabbit is sick!

At least I know he’s peeing and pooping…

He’ll be okay. Maybe he’s just feeling off today.

The thing that worries me is that he doesn’t move to go pee. He gets up and moves around every so often, but he’s just peeing where he’s laying all loafed up.

I wish I could stay and keep an eye on him!

My bunnies do this when they have gas. Do you have any Gas-X you can give him before you go to work? If it isnt gas the Gas-X wont hurt him.

Poor Frankie ..and i’ve definitely called in to work one day with the excuse of a sick bunny! The last time that Grace got sick, Brian and I both called into work and got the day off (though, we did not say that it was because we had a sick bunny).

Let us know how he is doing when you get back from work!

So he finally came around about 9 hours after I posted this. But he went longer than that without eating or anything. It’s good to know he’s back to normal – it scared me pretty bad!

I’m definitely updating my bunny first aid kit now!

It might be wise to do a check up because 9 hours is a fairly long time in my opinion to take him to get up and about.

I just made a vet appt for him for a week from today. They have openings today, but I have plans!

Turns out there’s an exotic vet right down my street now!

Glad he’s feeling better! I couldn’t get onto Binky Bunny last night, the server was down, and I was so anxious to hear how he was doing.
