Hi Mimz!
Well, I’m not an expert but am pretty well-versed and I do believe that it is some type of clover and, maybe even red clover, but since it is an older or younger flower it is hard to say for certain. I like to check the USDA plants database: http://plants.usda.gov/java/profile?symbol=TRPR2 It does not look exactly the same.
What you might want to do is check with your local extension service and see what type of local clover you have.

Clover is often considered a noxious weed and so the seeds are not sold at greenhouses and such. However, I think you would have some luck at a feed store or if you have one where your farmers but their supplies. The only down side however is that you may have to buy a gigantic bag of them. In looking at your extension service, the growing of it is highly discouraged so you may not find any seeds at all.
I would steer clear of anything growing along the side of a road and anywhere outside of your own garden. Too many risks are involoved and not just pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, but also disease, gasoline, car emissions, oil and so on.
