Brian and I were lucky enough to help out with a bunny rescue last week!  Someone in Houston had seen a bunny living outside a barn down the street from her house, and contact her local rescue network.  By the time Brian and I got the email, she had found out that the bunny had been dumped along with another rabbit but that the other rabbit had been killed by a dog  The rescue I volunteer at had just done an adoption so they said that I would be able to bring the bunny there.  The lady who found her lives in Houston, so we drove a couple hours to meet in between.

The bunny is a super sweet REW- we decided to name her Mary.  She seems to have a ARBA tattoo in her left ear, and she had mites and fleas from being outside, but she is super sweet and curious.  She seems to prefer men to women because she beat up the guy who tried to take her out of her cage on Saturday, BUT she let me hold her

Anyways, it was fun to be part of a rescue!

I wonder if you could track down the breeder by the tattoo and have him fined for dumping the rabbit.

I’ve recently rescued 2 bunnies from a rescue and they are now the loves of my life ^_^ I wonder how my gf’s going to feel. Ah well, it was her idea anyway I’ve found, rescue is the only way to go.
