Hi, my local feed store carries Nature’s Bedding Pellets 40lbs for $6.99, from what I have read these should be good to use in our bunnies litter box.

Nature’s Bedding Pellets by Woodgrain Millworks:

100% Kiln Dried Pine Pellets, Dust Free, Highly Absorbant, Ideal for Composting, Superior Odor Control.

Would you say they are good to use?

Yes, they are perfect. I also use pine wood pellets.

I would just keep check on how much your bunny eats the pellets. I’ve never had any bunnies that ate a ton, but some people have and it can cause problems if they eat too much. I use the Tractor supply horse stall pellets as a layer under aspen bedding and hay on top myself, but those sound awesome as well!

Those are totally acceptable to use.

Just for future reference: if I’m not mistaken, it’s the “kiln dried” part that is important when choosing pellets. As you probably know, pine shavings and such are not safe for bunnies, but pine-based pellets are. Because of the way they are prepared (kiln dried) the harmful phenols are not an issue in pine-based litter pellets. So if you ever question bun safety, make sure it is kiln dried to remove the bad stuff!
