Sorry if this posts like, 10 times. I cant get it to upload to binky bunny

Hi all! Sorry I havent been on for awhile, have been so busy with work, and also upset about Raisin. Now I have a new question….

I came home tonight and went to feed the buns, as its the first thing I do every day when I get home from work, and I heard this weird noise. I couldnt work out where it was coming from, it sounded kind of like a sheep baaaaing, but more grumbly and quiter. The noise was coming once every 3 or 4 seconds. I soon realised its Stu. When she breathes in (or maybe out) she is making this gruntng noise, almost like she is snoring. So I fed the buns and watched her for a bit and shes still making the noise, but she is also really energetic, and ate her food like a mad woman, which is a good sign. She doesnt make the noise when shes eating, only when shes sitting still. So I was wondering what it could be?

We have a new hay that I got 2 days ago for them, a pasture hay. Could she be allergic? Or Hormonal? or have a cold? Or is this what the ‘grunting’ is that everyone talks about?

The other day one was making a squeaking noise likea guinea pig but when I went to see what was happening they all went silent (as you do)

So Im really confused. Should I take her straight to the vet? Or do other bunnies do this?

        Thanks

        Katharine

I am going to delete the other posts.

I have a rabbit who is extremely vocal – snoring, grunting, snorting. Some rabbits are that way.

If it’s something new though, you may just want to have her checked out by a vet.

I ahve a couple bunnies who make weird noises when they groom, and one that snores. But i ocne had a bunny who on adn off would make weird noises when he was breathing. He had a HUGE abcess on his right Kindey and it was pushing on things including his lungs, and this was the issues.
Also the start of a respretory infection can be an issue as well, so yes, I would get it checked out just in case.

Lil Bud will snore and sometimes randomly squeak when he is sleeping. It’s not a squeak like he is in pain or scared just a very nonchalant squeak. I’ve watched him do this and his little legs start going so I think maybe he is dreaming. The first couple times it freaked me out but I think it is kind of cute.

Not to mention when he eats he snorts like a lil piggy.
