We had Oreo neutered on Monday he was fine yesterday but today we have woken up to sticky thick poo puddles.
It’s not watery so not diahrrhea but more like thick porridge with smaller normal poo in it, is this normal due to the stress of surgery or because I felt sorry for him and fed him too many treats?
I have taken everything away and have left just fresh hay for him he has done another similar poo but is also doing normal round ones too, he is also hopping around and fine in himself, we are back to the vets tomorrow for a check up so will mention it but any advice welcomed (from a new bunny Mum)

It could well be stress and anesthesia meds working their way out of his system, which means his gut is kicking into normalgear again. Takes a few days to balance out again, usually. If he’s drinking water well on his own, try to keep him on pellets and hay and dried greens (if any) for a day or two and then reintroduce fresh produce again. It should help normalize his poops.

Agree with Q(. Anesthesia has a slowing effect on the gut, but as a rule it normalizes in a couple of days. For some buns it can take up to two weeks though, but it’s still normal.
