Hi guys, I noticed my rabbit has a limp and when I inspected his paw and lifted his fur he was bleeding at the base of his nails. His nail is still in tact but on top its bleeding. Im not sure what else to do other than to apply neosporin. He’s acting fine and is eating,peeing/pooping, and asking for pets but he is still limping and flinches when I try to see his paw. Please help, has anyone ever experienced this with their bun? My rabbit is 8 years old and this is very new to me.

Heres a picture and a video for reference, excuse me for the audio, I didnt know how to cover up the original audio without adding a song over it.

How long has it been since this happened?

In most cases you just want to stop the bleeding and put on some antibiotic cream like you have, and monitor the foot. If you see undue swelling or other signs of infection, a vet visit is in order, same if he keeps limping for more than a day or so. The nail might grow out crooked.

Hi there, this happened last night around 8pm or so. He’s  babying his foot but is eating fine and is running after me still… I booked an appointment just in case because I was scared of his limp.

He probably just got the nail caught on something and damaged the nail. Don’t be surprised if the nail eventually falls off and a new one grows in.
