So basically there’s this new problem where my rabbit gets pissed off if I’m laying down with my eyes closed. She’ll come over and jump on me, dig/claw at my back and try to wake me. She forces her head into my hand so I pet her. She’s relaxed as long as I’m petting her and giving her attention. She’s only 4 months old, idk if this is hormonal behavior or what it could be but I’m getting like zero sleep and it’s been this way for at least a week. Once I’m awake and sitting up doing something, he’s totally fine! She just perches in a spot next to me and sits quietly. Little brat

        What do I do?? lol

That’s, “I adore you, and can’t get enough of your love and attention. NOW LOVE ME!” Yup. You’re a bunny slave now. What to do? Enjoy the attention.

You’re very lucky that your bunny loves you so much, but I can see where you might want to eventually get some sleep! If possible, restrict her access to your bed. If there is something she is hopping on to get up there, try removing it. If your bed is low enough to where she can just hop up there, you may want to consider putting her in her cage at night, while you are sleeping.

she doesn’t have a cage but if I ever tried to cage her in somewhere (I have had to for a couple things here and there) she gets really annoyed and starts aggressively biting and pulling on the walls of the xpen I have. So that wouldn’t really allow me to sleep either plus I’d feel too guilty..

Yes I am a bunny slave. I’ve spoiled her too much and these are the consequences hahaha

I plan on building a bunny condo soon. Not necessarily for cage purposes but somewhere for her to go plus my boyfriend is moving in and getting a rabbit too so they can use this space together once they’re bonded and I can close it up when it’s needed and hopefully the condo is comfy and entertaining enough to where they aren’t trying to get out constantly if I need them in there for a little while.

Are you able to shut a bedroom door? Unsure if you’re in a studio set up, but that may be a better alternative than putting her in a cage. That’s what I do with Wick when he wants to be up earlier than me.

It is very common for rabbits to wake up their owners because they are most active during some of those overlapping hours, and us being their source of food and pampering, it’s very inconvenient to have us sleeping.

I wish that wasn’t my only option because I just can’t do that to her. She used to be really calm at night. Not sure what happened.

Wenet tries to wake me up everyday at 5 am or earlier. I cage her during the night and she just manages to make a lot of noises, biting the bars, throwing her bowls around the cage, running… I think that’s a relatively normal behavior, and the only way to solve it is sleeping in different rooms. I’m moving to a studio now and I’m starting to fear the consequences.

Haha I guess we learn to live with less sleep? I already had issues sleeping before but meh. I’m thinking maybe when she has another bunny friend, she’ll be more distracted? Who knows.

Haha, so a spoiled bun! I use a extra large dog crate for my two rabbits at night. I cover the top to make it “denny”. They have a nice padded mat, a house, and their box in there. If an enclosure is comfy, your rabbit will want to spend time in it. It becomes their space. I can have the café door wide open, and scooter and louise will still spend a fair amount of time in their “house”.

I gave in haha I did make an enclosure for her and it’s mainly because she just started going through hormonal changes as well and she’s pooping all over the place and acting crazy. She’s mostly fine inside of it and it’s covered by a blanket on top but she just wants to come out when she sees me because she can’t get pets in there. I let her out quite a few times a day but that entails lots of poop clean up now haha I’m hoping to fix this soon.

Oh and I just ordered some NIC grids to build a decent condo in my room for her even after she’s fixed so she has a space to go in and out of. I plan on building an even bigger condo in the living room later.

I’m so glad Clover doesn’t wake me up anymore. ;;^^ He used to, but since I got rid of the pen, he’s good at night. We usually go to bed at the same time! I’m kinda jealous your girl adores you that much, haha
