So I have to do a lot of traveling in life but luckily I have a great bunny sitter. I was gone for about 5 days this week and came home to nothing out of the ordinary from the sitters. However I noticed my bunny Bojack is acting really weird. He won’t eat anything I give him! Of course I know this requires immediate vet attention but before I could schedule and get him in (was at work) my parents called and said he ate just fine for them. I come home and he is just snooty. Back turned, teeth grinding and glaring at me. He won’t greet me (he has never not done this!) And wants absolutely Nothing to do with Me. I’ve had him for over 3 years and he’s been nothing but kind to me. He’s fixed and fairly well trained too. I’m so upset. I don’t know what to do or if I should be worried for his health…

I might just take him to the vet anyway. Tooth grinding is often a sign of pain. I don’t know if it’s associated with anger, but I’ve only ever heard it described with pain. Withdrawal can also be a sign that your rabbit is sick. At the very least, then you’ll know whether there’s a medical need or if he’s just angry. I figure, better safe than sorry.

Id go the vet route too. He might actually be so attached to you that he doesn’t need to hide the pain as much with you as with your parents. KUP on how he’s doing.

So. It has been a very long and scary 4 days. We took him to the emergency room where they confirmed it was either gi stasis or an intestinal blockage but didn’t do an xray because the doctor wasn’t very familiar with rabbits. Sadly, this visit exhausted my funds and I was unable to take him to my regular vet. I’ve been calling and doing nonstop research to find a way to afford taking him to the vet again but I can’t. So after 3 days of no poop, minimum eating and hourly syringe feed/watering……

              WE HAVE POOP!!!

Hey I’m New to this community,  I have a Californian rabbit he’s 4 months he’s very playful and binkies all around the house he doesn’t mind pets and he’s not afraid of me but my family is very loud and This scares him so I can only let him out when they are gone (in a cage until he’s neutered ) he also eats my wooden furniture and carpets I go to school so I can’t spend that much time with him but I feel we have really bonded and I only got him 2 weeks ago, He doesn’t mind being picked up but once he’s in open space he bolt every time I try to pick him.doesn’t let me brush him either and half my family is allergic to his fur, (sorry this is long) do u have any tips on

                1. How to create a stronger bond

                2. How to stop him chewing the furniture and carpets

                3. How to groom him easier

                4. How to tolerate being picked up

Thanks sorry its so long I’m New to being a rabbit parent
