Hey everyone so one of my three bunnies is digging out her liter box in search of hay. I fill their rack daily and usually put some in the liter box. However Cooki seems to only eat out the liter box hay instead of the rack and will dig at the box to get the hay. She’s been making a catastrophic mess, shooting the liter 5ish feet past the box. I bought a high wall liter box yesterday which didn’t help one bit. What do I do?

You could try using a screen on top of the litter. Alfie also used to be a bit of a digging monster, but with the screen he physically can’t dig all the litter out of the box. I have one that I bought from the BB store, they make them in custom sizes too. I also know some people will use knitting mesh as a litter box screen that you can find on amazon or craft stores!

Yes as Cailou says the litter screen can work wonders Thor digs out her box too, and I think it’s less looking for hay and more a natural digging urge. Litter screen from the BB store works well with our setup!
