HJ and I are getting married next year, and we’ve decided we want everything to reflect who we are as a couple. As such, all our centerpieces are going to represent our interests and loves and such.

Of course, this includes the bunnies since we’re proud bunny parents. But I’m all out of ideas, and I can’t find inspiration online that doesn’t scream “Easter!”.

        Anyone have any non-Eastery ideas?

Are you including other things in the centerpieces (interests and loves)? Are you wanted flower centerpieces? What flowers have you chosen? Or general style of your wedding? This will help with ideas I think.

You could take the cover from Watership Down and make it into a artwork-ish piece. That wouldn’t scream Easter. Or The Velveteen Rabbit. Or the white rabbit from Alice in Wonderland.

What kind of fur do your bunnies have? You could make something with their fur. Hehe! I want to do wool felting with Wooly’s fur sometime, but I have to collect enough of it.

What besides rabbits are you wanting to include?

Are you doing namecards with table numbers? Maybe you could do the rabbit on those.  Maybe something with an origami rabbit.

You definitely don’t want it too Easter-like or nursery like.

We do this for Easter, BUT with the right frosting you could make it look like your rabbits (I’m an art major, so mixing frosting is very fun at my house on Easter ) We make a cake shaped like a rabbit and then cover it in a pastel frosting because those are easier to make. However, if you get chocolate frosting or mix complimentary colors you can use brown frosting. I think there are black frosting tubes at our store, so you could make grey and black if needed.

You could leave them edible, or let them sit so they become hardened and more durable. You could also pipe little flowers around the rabbit once you have it placed, using your wedding colors. It would be a TON of work, but the cake we make each year looks pretty awesome Sadly, I have no pictures with me, but you can make just about anything using cake these days. You could also look into fondont or w/e it’s called.

I also had this rabbit made of china when I was younger that would make a good center piece I really like this idea for a wedding. Good luck!

                        • Use those photo vases and put in actual photos of your buns, artwork, favourite rabbit rescue emblem, or even use the PETA bunny necklace design as a motif.

                        • These cupcake papers could be used as votive candle holders with a coloured glass insert. Or converted to be used as serviette rings.

                        • This is a Christmas ornament but using this idea, make a sort of diorama using hand picked items and an orb style terranium.

                        • I like the origami idea also so just adding pic for inspiration. One of the nicest rabbit shaped origami pieces I’ve seen.

                        • Simply use some rabbit shaped table confetti around the centrepieces. : )

Have you got the figures for the top of your cake yet…

You could use a tiny piece of white tulle to make a veil for the female.

                          And just a couple more.

Such cute ideas!!! What a creative bunch! should have gotten you all to help with my wedding. I was banned from making it all rabbits by my family beforehand, though, unfortunately…how did they know I would have?

These would be extremely elegant, but the lack of an obvious price on them makes me nervous.  http://www.moser-glass.com/en/p/nat…he-rabbit/

If you have time to wait for a delivery you could look at sites like http://www.alibaba.com you buy in lots of anything from 5-500 direct from the wholesaler. I had a look and most of the bunny related things came in small batches..
