I was told Sunny’s mom is a Holland Lop.  I have NO CLUE what his daddy is.  From age comparison based on what I’ve seen online, he looks much smaller than the holland lop bunnies at the same age.  he also doesn’t have those big lopped over ears like they have.  Just wondering if there’s a way to tell what he possibly is?

His face isn’t ‘holland’ shapped either. More pointed like Rex’s or some larger breed bunnies.
I think you may have to wait untill he’s fully grown to get an idea of his breed(s). Right now he’s just all cutsie baby bunny breed

He looks a lot like a Palomino rabbit to me. He might be Palomino mixed with a smaller breed (possibly Holland Lop). It will really be hard to know until he reaches his adult weight and loses his baby coat. Until then, he’s just a really cute honey-colored baby bunny.

How old is he? He looks exactly in that picture like my rabbit did at around 2 or 3 months. Not sure what my rabbit is either… I was told he was a dwarf mix of some sort but he’s now 3 pounds (at just over 5 months) so I don’t think he’ll qualify full grown…

For reference of what you could expect, this is Sammy at around 2 months:

                Sammy at around 3 months:

                4 months:

And a recent picture around 5 months:

I looooove it when rabbit ears grow and grow as they get older! Momo’s did that, and now they are soooo long <3

Meow – very very very cute baby Sunny!

Otti – Sammy looks a bit like Lolli when she was skinny. Same face shape, ears, and body shape. If his fur is very soft and plush like velvet, he might be a mini rex.

He is 6 wks old, but he does look very similar to the young pictures of your Sammy!

His face doesn’t look particularly holland shaped (it could be minilop shaped though), and it’s true that he doesn’t have lopped ears (but that’s common when the cross is lop with non-lop). My holland was 2lbs at 8 weeks old and is 4lbs as an adult. Your guy looks similar in size to him when he was a baby, but many rabbits are that size as babies and grow up to be 4-6lbs. His color is fairly common in hollands though, which could be an indication that he is actually part holland.

It’s sooo hard to tell breed in baby bunnies. You should post more pics when he’s around 6 months or a year and we’ll have a much better idea. Most baby bunnies tend to look the same, but as you can see in Otti’s pictures they change a lot as they grow up.

Yeah Sammy’s ears have grown disproportionately lol He definitely doesn’t have mini rex type fur but he might have some part of that breed in him and be a cross with something else. I honestly have no idea but I’m sure he’s not a Palomino, he’s way too small. The weight markers that Palomino rabbits reach at various months of age are much higher than anything Sammy has reached.

Meow, your Sunny is so cute. I watched his video and he does remind me a lot of Sammy but he looks slightly different in some ways – like slightly different head shape. He might be a different cross but the coloring is definitely the same and I think size wise they’re similar… In the first picture I posted of Sammy, I’m estimating that he was 2 months but he might have been smaller. I don’t have a definite idea of how old he is.

Thanks everyone for your replies and thoughts, and watching Sunny’s video! He def. is a happy lil’ bun!

I haven’t weighed him yet though, he really hates being picked up. I tried to do a bunny burrito last night, but I think he’s too small right now.
