Hi I just rescued a little bunny and I am trying to purchase a cage for him I wanted to buy the Iris 750 but it is out of stock on Amazon and I cannot find it anywhere else.  I am wondering what other cage I should consider.  Any help you can give me will be very helpful.  Thanks

Have you considered building your own? A NIC cage maybe?
I’m not familar with the cage you’ve mentioned, so not sure what style it is . Have you looked through the pictures on this site of other peoples rabbit housing? May help you get some ideas.

          & Welcome to the forum

a puppy / dog excersize pen works amazingly. we refer to them as x-pens on here (just so you dont get confused)
Also Large dog crates work nicely, you can even add levels to them

Examples in the form of pictures

<- the larger the better for the bunny.

<- Gives lots of room and is easy to fold up and / or move

I’d agree with xpens – they’re easy to set up, easy to transport (my bunnies have traveled to many locations, so portability is important for me). I think they’re perfect. NIC cages are nice, but they’re a little fussy for me – too much to build and set up and they can look cluttered. But that’s just me! Some people love them precisely because you can take them apart and rebuild them a million different ways.

or you could make the best of 3 worlds and have an nic condo/pen attaced to a dog crate not THAT would be cool!

This is what I have, for 1 bunny currently. I built  2 story cage out of the grids, and attacked an exercise pen to it. The cage has no door. The more space the better for bunnies, they needs lots of room to runa nd play. Being kept in a small cage really isn’t good for them

The minimum size cage you would want is 2×4 feet and cages that size are usually well over $100, and that is with allowing the bunny at least 4 hours a day of out of cage exercise time. The bigger the better when it comes to rabbit housing. It is more economical to purchase an exercise pen (between $50-75) and a scrap of linoleum for underneath, plus easier to clean.

Mmm.. there is a black spot on top of the condo. Could that be her? Though I’m not certain this is Monkey’s condo, I can’t see any blue carefresh in the litterboxes. Monkey only has BLUE carefresh.

@Ann Marie: Did you end up finding something? I don’t kn ow about the Iris750 either but a quick view tells me it would be too small. Finding an alternative like an ex pen rather then a commercial cage may be better in the long run. If the bunny is small now, there’s no telling what size it will grow to be.
