She’s probably hitting puberty stage…but also not many rabbits are fond of being handled.
When she is fixed it will also help her health and attitude in general, since it reduces the
hormones! Hope that is somewhat helpful!

I agree with Floppy, puberty! You might want to see at what age your vet will spay her.  In the mean time, try to be as patient as possible with her.  If she lunges, try to press gently down on her head and talk softly to her.  Poor thing. Actually poor both of you.  When she’s altered it will definately help, hang in there!

I thought this but my local vets has just been knocked down because they are building a better one. The new one wont be ready till february and the nearest on is ove a four hour drive away .

She was ok last night but this morning i  opened her cage to let her out and she nipped me.

Rabbits hitting puberty is a little bit annoying.

              Thnx Anyway

yes.  it is.  but with Meadow i noticed a difference in bahavior within a couple days after the surgery.  and she’s getting better every day.  puberty annoyance is probably one of the biggest reason rabbits end up in shelters to begin with… but it is able to be overcome.

yep it sounds like puberty to me too. the closest vet is 4 hours away? my goodness!
can you call the local vet’s number to ask if there are any other alternatives in the meantime? that of course is provided anyone is answering their phone!

YEP! Most people just think they have a defective mean and crazy bunny.  So many people that I just meet at the store or wherever, when I say I have a bunny site, the common story is that they used to have a bunny – but it was mean or crazy and they had to "get rid of it".    And since most of the bunnies that come in to the shelter are not spayed or neutered  and are usually right past the puberty stage – well, that says it all.
