I have a male Holland lop who is now around ten weeks old. I adopted him when he was seven weeks old. He used to be a lovely dirty blond color but now he is changing SO MUCH. He got much darker, his ears turned gray and I miss his old color. Will he ever return? I miss how he used to look.

It’s very normal for a rabbit’s “baby fur” to grow out and be replaced by adult fur. Most kits have lighter, fluffier coats, which are replaced with sometimes darker, smoother, and more colored fur. Some rabbits change fur colors during seasonal molts, so there is a chance his fur might still return to his more blond color, but it also may never return. It may change even more as he keeps growing, so be prepared for a different looking bunny!

I second this. My boys are 3 and both have definitely changed color. Bombur has relatively stayed the same, except he went from a dark orange to a light orange. Asriel went from being mainly white with a little bit of brown and gray on his back, and now he’s primarily brown and gray with a white underside. It’s just a part of growing up.

I agree with @Louiethebunny and @Asriel and Bombur it’s just the baby going away and the adult fur coming through
