I am not watching my bunnies at the moment. I am letting my friend watch them. He just informed me that a day ago he dropped my bunny and she hit her head pretty hard. he said she ended up with a nose bleed but he wasn’t sure if it was a nose bleed or a cut on her nose. apparently she is still alive and can walk (not sure about eating, drinking, pooping, or anything else that would be useful to know since my friend is not super observant) but should I tell my friend to bring her into a vet anyways? I honestly do not trust his diagnosis since he doesn’t know much about taking care of bunnies besides feeding, cleaning or caring for them. Her nose has stopped bleeding since the incident according to my friend but i am just worried she may be masking her pain. Please let me know what I should do.

He dropped her on her head and she bled?! He should have taken her to the vet there and then :-/ How has he not observed whether she is eating and drinking okay? Or peeing and pooping? I’m sorry but that is so irresponsible on his part. He needs to find out whether she is eating and having bowel movements and get her to a vet ASAP.

I’m shocked at how careless your friend is. I wouldn’t leave him in charge of your bunny ever again if I were you! Definitely get her looked at, but it would be helpful to the vets to know how her tummy is (whether or not she’s pooping etc) so your friend really needs to observe her properly.

Youre bunny needs to go to the emergency vet. Major damage couldve been done that he just ignored. The soonest you can get your bunny back, the better (((((VIBES!!)))))

I wonder if it was a tooth injury and not the nose. Tooth injuries are fairly common when a bunny hits something headfirst. Either way, your bunny should have been taken to the vet to make sure there wasn’t any other damage. Sometimes injuries are not immediately apparent. Your friend should still take your bunny to the vet, even though time has passed. It will at least give you peace of mind that nothing else is wrong.

I agree, even it if it just simple trauma with a nose bleed, or a skin cut from a tooth, a vet visit will at least ease your mind about the situation.
