We just brought our bunny home the other day and yesterday was her first day out and about. I had noticed that she was hanging out in her litter box to rest so I took out her tube and added a little box wiht a blanket in, thinking she would sleep in there. Welll…she didnt. Now she peed in it and pooped. Plus there is more poop outside of her litter box than before. Should I take a way the box and put the tube back in? Its not as ideal but at least she didnt pee in it!

Any thoughts, ideas, tips, or anything else would be awesome!

        Thanks so much in advance!!

Hi, and congratulations on your new baby!
It’s an ajustment period for you both, and she’s going to take a few tries to get it right.
I would put the litter pan you want her to use in the spot where she peed the most. Then I would not put down any bedding. If you can wash out the tube with white vinegar and water to get rid of the pee smell, that will deter her from peeing in it again. Put all of the poos, and any soiled litter, into the litter pan. That says “this is the place” to her and she will catch on. Just scoop up and wipe with a paper towel anything she does outside the litter pan and promptly move it into there.

Can you show us pictures? What’s her name? If we can see your arrangement it will help to tweak it.
