I don’t know if this is the place to do this or not, but I always feel weird on forums if I don’t introduce myself, so I figured I’d say hello to y’all. Well my name is Carlin, and I’m 14. I’ve got a dog, three cats, and two ferrets named Mojo and Charlie. I might be getting a rabbit, so I’m doing some extra research. I’ve already done a lot, but I decided to finally join this forum and stop lurking around haha. Well just wanted to say hi to y’all!!

Great job for doing extra research!!! Sounds like you have lots of animals too Welcome to the forum, dont be a stranger and please keep us posted if you get a bunny of your own Going through a rescue is a great thing to do vs going to the petstore, as far as I know they are always neutered or spayed and are of course in need of a great home.

          Welcome again!

welcome here! you have quite a full house. bunnies are a lot of work, but they make wonderful pets if you are willing to spend the time and money necessary to care for them properly. have you given any thought to where the rabbit would be housed? i’m concerned about your ferrets, as they are enemies of rabbits.

Welcome to BinkyBunny! It is great that you are getting some information before getting a bunny. I also would give some consideration to housing ferrets and rabbits in the same house. They will need to be introduced very slowly, and you need to make sure that you get a bunny that will be comfortable around ferrets, because sometimes the more sensitive rabbits can become panicked and very scared when they are around predator type animals (whether the predator really poses a threat or not).

Welcome. I agree with Moobunnay – ferrets and rabbits are not usually a good mix. They are used for hunting wild rabbits in some areas.

I second that, i have always wanted a ferret but have decided not to get one because i wouldnt feel safe with the rabbits and ferret in the same house just incase, i would never forgive myself if one got hurt and therefore i will wait until i have a much larger house so they can both be kept completely seperate. Welcome to the forum!

Hi Carlin, you’ve got exactly the right place to introduce yourself! WELCOME! So glad to hear that you are looking into things first before getting a rabbit.
