Heard enough of Willow yet

??I have a new set-up for willow now (see photos below…?) also should I rename willow I tried a couple other name she reponded to some but I don’t know…

Why would you want to change her name? It’s a great name! If it’s because she doesn’t answer to it, I think that’s not unusual… Lizzy could care less what I call her! She doesn’t answer to Lizzy, or “Miss Bits” or “Diva Bunny” or “rodent” or “Hey you long-eared-lagomorph” or anything else I call her…I could rename her “Dog” if I wanted and she’d continue to do whatever she wanted regardless of my pleading!

I think as long as YOU like the name, that’s probably what’s important…

i LOVE the name willow!! yes, i agree, if you like the name thats what matters most because i doubt if they care very much what their names are hahaha. after all, my husband calls Rain Dairy, because he seems to think she looks like a dairy cow and calls Abbie BJ because the basset hound that lives at my mother in laws is barney and she reminds him of him. It drives me nuts!! lol

How do you like that auto water’er? Do you have an area blocked off for her or is it a whole room? Is that a wire in the top right of the first picture? How about some toys in that set-up hahaha.. our girls have SO MANY TOYS its rediculous, im sure abbie and rain wouldnt mind sharing lol

my dogs name (brown and white border collie) is willow, i think its a lovely name but if you feel she responds better to something else then maybe its for the best

Adee, I totally know what you mean! My father made me NUTS as a child! He re-named ALL of our critters, and the names were always TERRIBLE! And he used them so frequently that the animals ANSWERED to them! Thus, Sniffy the rat became Ratso. I don’t even remember what the black rat’s name was before she became Cockroach. My lovely AKC-registered Flat-Coated Retriever (think Golden Retriever, but black, and finer-boned), Dexmoor’s JazzTyme, aka Jazzy, never really got the hang of his real name because my father called him Butthead for his entire life.

After I moved out, my mother got a whole crop of new animals, and refused to name them, since my father was just going to make something silly up, anyway. So now they have a dog named Hoover (apparently he’s very good at sucking dropped food up off the floor)… And I think all of my mom’s ferrets (she had…3? 4? at a time) were all just “Weasel” to my father…
