I’m just…. Ugh, vets!! About two hours ago Mabel started to tilt her head like she had an ear itch. I noticed that her eyes track from bottom to top. She has a vet appointment we’d, hmmm going to blow off grandma’s colonoscopy. Called the bunny lady I got her from and no real info but the vet said if she’s eating, drinking.. bla bla… right now she sitting up cleaning her front paws and face… she will be ok until we’d.

I live in Pittsburgh and you would think hunk I would up to my ass in bunny vets…. Nope nope nope!!!! They have maybe 3 that travel to and fro… mine does.

im sending a video for some help. Tomorrow I’m going to call around Ohio. I’m not that far from the border.

also I still have all Mabel’s babies. Last baby was fixed Friday! Phew. The humane society will help vet homes but ultimately it’s my say so.

Vertical (up/down) nystagmus tends to be associated with EC. Is she exhibiting any other symptoms? Seizures? Incontinence?

No none. I ordered pancur from Amazon. It should be here today. I have two farm stores + two agway and they don’t have it. I’m calling another vet tomorrow in Ohio, figured one day can make a difference. I’m so upset that I’m angry. She is still pretty mobile like this is normal in some weird way to her. Eating, loving her boo boo kitty, sitting up to clean her face. I guess I’m angry with the vets! They need to branch out to bunnies.

It’s very stressful not being able to find a vet! I hope you are able to see one though to rule out other causes.

Keep in mind that panacur can take a while to work and the course is 28 days. Vets will often prescribe an anti-inflammatory along with it for the first couple weeks because some of the EC symptoms can be due to inflammation.

Thank you, my husband takes her today at 1pm. I’m going to ask about the other bunnies, the last baby was seen Friday.
