No matter what if she’s in the cage or not, Pepper, my 2-3 month old bunny, seems to shake her head around like she’s a bull or something. Is this normal behavior? For context, Pepper is a unspayed mini rex- lion head mix and is a fairly sweet but energetic bunny.

          Is she REW?

No she’s not, she’s black and white spotted with brown eyes.

Hmm… I was wondering if she was REW since scanning is common with red eyed rabbits. Brown eyed rabbits do it as well sometimes, but it isn’t as common. Scanning behavior can be faster or slower, depending on the individual. If you look on YouTube, there are videos of rabbits scanning. Let us know if your bunny is doing something similar to the videos online. If not, then it might be something else.

No, I watched a video of what you described, she doesn’t do that. Hers is more of a head twitch/ shake. It kinda looks similar to a dog shaking its fur out. I’m not home, but later in the day if she does it, I’ll video it and post it

Is she currently molting around her ears? I know Wick can get a bit head shakey from fur tickling his ears. Also, if your environment is dry at the moment, there may be some dry skin irritation. How does her ears look?

I can’t figure out how to post a picture, but from other posts, I think she’s partially binkying, since her ears do not show signs of mites.

                      Oh, like a head binky.
