I was cleaning out Tucker’s cage tonight, cleaning up all the stray poops…Tucker was keeping an eye on the maid making sure that a good job was done, and then he decided to climb on my back He stayed there for a few minutes while I gathered all the poops and then he chewed on my hair and then shimmied his way down my back into his “fenced in yard” aka his pen outside his cage   We’ve come so far in just a few short weeks.  When he first came home to us he wouldn’t even let us pet him and then when he did he’d look as if he was frozen with fear!  Now he will let me pick him up, he does not like it but he’ll let me long enough to get  him where he needs to go, back in his cage, over the gate, etc and he loves to be pet and seems so happy to see me

aw congrats, it is an awesome feeling when you finally are getting along great, hopscotch was scared to death when we got him as was daxter, daxter is taking much longer to bond with us than hopscotch did but i am just ensuring to give him time and he will be fine in the end, i am happy you have bonded together! congrats!

It’s become his tradition when I am cleaning his cage…it really made me all gushy since I was up on my hands and knees so I was pretty high off the ground..I’d have thought he’d be scared!

Thats a great feeling isn’t it

we took in a mini rex doe about 2 weeks ago who would run and hide when we would open her cage door. Tonight however, during a play session, she came up and cuddled up next to my arm then flopped over on her side. I was alarmed at first, but then she started chattering her teeth.
