Romeo eats soooo much hay, it is unbelievable! I have to fill his hayrack up pratically everytime I walk by his hayrack. It is Timothy hay. I was wondering if it was possible he got too much hay. Is this unhealthy f or him and will it cause him to become overweight.

Not at all! It’s great he eats so much of it. Not only will it keep his gut moving along, but also keep his teeth in check too. When you give hays like alfalfa and some grain hays is when you’d have to keep an eye on the weight.

Does he eat veggies too?  My only thought is he may fill up so much on hay, that he does go for the veggies too much.  The veggies give some other vitamins (such as Vit A) and extra fluids which are important.

That is great he loves his hay! You also want to make sure you refresh his water often. In many cases, eating a lot of hay, causes them to drink more. This is all very important for his health!

Yea! It is great if he loves hay! I have one bunny who loves it and the other who eats hardly any . I hope that once my two are bonded that Fern will eat more hay to *compete* with Thistle’s mad hay eating habits. It makes me feel good every time I see one of the bunnies eating hay.
