Why is it that the hay cubes are mostly made with alfalfa?  I know that BB has cubes made with wheat hay. But why cant I find it in stores?

So I got an idea of making my own and did some research but I guess it cant be handmade. I just thought that it would be good to make small cubes (from timothy or other non-alfalfa) and put a raisin in the center of the cube. A little suprise!

This actually made me look at what hay is in the hay cubes I got at For Other Living Things in Sunnyvale…
it says that the Hay Cubes they sell are made with Timothy. From what I understand though, isn’t alfalfa okay
to give adult bunnies once in awhile?

I figured the alfalfa cubes were a treat you only give sometimes.
I love the idea of a raisin or something inside.

if you figure out how to make something similar – let us know.

Yes, I have seen the timothy cubes at For Other Living Things too, as well as the Alfalfa ones.  I have yet to try them though.
