Well last night I saw some activity in my little boy bun that I haven’t seen in a few weeks or more.

From the time I went to bed until almost dawn this morning, Mimzy was binging on hay and eating his new willow basket, plus he was having a binky fest, which I haven’t seen him do in forever.

He also was playing hide and seek with me just before I turned off my bedside light last night. He’d come to the side of the cage so I could just see the arch in his back…I’d say, “Where’s Mimzy?” and his little head would pop up and I’d answer, “Peekaboo! There he is!” and he’d give a little headshake and dance around and hide again. We haven’t played hide and seek since he first got here, when we used to play that out in the Bun-Galow.

I swear I have my old bun back at last. Maybe that blasted spring fever is beginning to mellow somewhat.

He still has some chalky deposit in his litterbox, but nothing like I’ve been seeing off and on in the last few weeks. I’m glad he mostly munched on hay last night, because I was beginning to worry he’d never eat it again and we’d start having some serious bunny nourishment issues.

BB, he sure likes that oat hay. I just ordered another bale this morning, along with the wheat which I’ll supplement him on. Pippi is going through the oat like it’s going out of style.
