Dexter is being silly and I just wanted to know if anyone else had this problem and if there is anything I can do.  Dexter has 2 litter boxes, one inside his condo and one outside of it in his run/play area.  He had a small litter box from when he was little in his condo and I replaced it with a bigger one and he was fine with it.   He also has the same size (small) littler box outside which i just changed recently to a bigger box because he kept peeing over the edge.  For the last week of having it he won’t use it, he will just dig in it like crazy,  throw out all the litter and then just move it to the side to rip up the carpet where it was lol.  He has never did this before with the other big litter box that is in his condo so I don’t know what is going on here.  Funny thing is, is that I put his smaller one back and he just jumped in and used it right away.  I did clean the bigger new one before giving it to him too.  Any suggestions or thoughts?

Why don’t you try putting the small litter box in the larger one for now and try and trick him that way. Not sure if that will work or not and if it will fit but I say see what happens if you do that and maybe eventually you can take the small one out and he’ll just use the large one. I’ve never tried anything like this, just putting an idea out there for you.

I don’t really have any suggestions (I’ll keep thinking about it) but I just wanted to comment on how funny bunnies can be! They’re so particular sometimes and make these rules for themselves that make no sense to us.

i put a hay box for my bunny lulu in the top of her cage and every time i put it in there she would push it off the top when i put it back up she would push it back down so after a few days i just put it on the bottom of the cage and she was fine. it was like she wanted it were she wanted it.
