I noticed some days ago that somehow it is very hard fur ( I wasn’t even sure it was fur before because it was so hard) on two places in my rabbits face. One little lower, under his eye in his “beard” – he is a lionhead <g class="gr_ gr_381 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Punctuation only-del replaceWithoutSep" id="381" data-gr-id="381">bunny,</g> and one much harder above his nose besides his eye which I am a little worried about. It's like a hard little ball of fur but when I pull it away a little it's no fur under there, like a little spot. I see his skin really. I couldn't post the pictures here because the files are too big but I would be glad if anyone who reads this asked for a picture so you could give better help. Anyway, I tried to softly touch where the hard fur is with a wet towel but I couldn't really see if it worked because Dennis didn't like it. I don't think it would have though..&nbsp;I would be so thankful if anyone could say the cause of this and how to heal it. I haven't seen him suffer by this and he let me touch it very patiently as long as I didn't disturb his eye, no behaviour changes either. The spot where there's no skin bothers me the most so I really want to know what is going on.</span></p>

        Thankful for answers

Hi Dennis bunny. My bunny gets eye goobers and if I don’t clean around his eye every so often then his fur tends to get hard around his eye. My bun also has long fur so I also find it in his beard some times. Bunnies get eye boogers just like humans as long as there is not a ton at once or if he doesn’t seem to be bothered by it it’s normal. To clean the eye boogers I pet my rabbit until he’s calm and lays down. Then I take a damp paper towel and wipe the gross spot. If the paper towel don’t work I carefully take my finger and try to swipe it off. This can take some time as my rabbit can be jumpy. Sometimes when I get the eye boogers off the skin by it can be a little irritated but it heals up by the next day on my rabbit. By the way if you can get a picture to load that would help. I hope this comment helped in some way. Don’t lose heart.
