        Hi!

I’m a new rabbit owner. My rabbit is neutered and is a year old. I’ve gotten him for 2 days now. My concern besides the fact that he doesn’t poop or pee inside the litter but everywhere outside. Also, I don’t free roam him as I live in a condo with cluttered furnitures. When I play with him in the pen, he would look at me then look out, run around and look out, climb then back down and look out. While he does this, his teeth wouldclick heavily and consistently. I don’t think it’s pleasure, why would he enjoy looking out but can’t get out? When I pet him and if he purrs, I know he’s enjoying it, but I think he’s a curious one and he’s stressed that I’m not letting him out? I feel like a bad mom and often wonder if I should keep him here.

In the BUNNY INFO section, there’s lots of info on litter training – but basically: make sure the litter is different to the rest of the hutch floor, and pick up or wipe up stray poops and pees and put them in the litter tray. Shoo him in whenever you see him pee or poop somewhere else, have his hay next to the litter tray.

How big is his pen? Rabbits need a very large pen, or at least 4 hours out of a reasonable sized one each day. Is the pen big enough for him to run and binky in?

I don’t really understand what you’re describing that he does. Rabbits teeth purr when they’re happy, but a louder noise when they’re obviously not happy can mean that they’re in pain.
