Is it safe to put a hammock that is made for rabbits? I’ve noticed on Pinterest pictures of hammocks with rabbits laying in them.

before I get one I wanted to see what you all think

I’ve seen beds with a wooden frame and fleece fabric stretched across it to create a “hammock”. Those are perfectly fine. Just keep in mind that some bunnies tend to chew on fabrics. So make sure it is something safe, like fleece. And if they chew on it too much, then you’ll just have to take it away. If I gave my bunny something like that, he would have it destroyed in minutes. But it really depends on the rabbit.

Yeah my concern would be that if the bun chewed a hole, that could create a risk of injury if bun’s foot slipped through.

That’s true. The ones I’m thinking of aren’t very high up, but I guess they could potentially get a foot stuck.

I was imagining the ones sold for ferrets that clip in cage corners. I don’t think those would be safe in most cases, but a lower one meant for buns could be OK.

Yeah, I was thinking the wooden frame with the fabric stretched tight. Like those cat beds, but rabbit size.
