I finished my son’s halloween costume today! He’s being “Super Gavin”! I took a red shirt and glued a felt lightning bolt and a G to it kind of like “Super Grover” from sesame street’s costume LOL. He also has a cape that’s pinned to it and an eye mask. He looks so cute and he’s thrilled with it! I’m not sure that the felt’s going to stay onto it very well so I am going to get some fabric glue to secure it better. Right now it has hot glue on it and I don’t think that’s really ment for fabric.
Lucas on the other hand (the one that wanted to be a bouncy ball) has rejected every costume that we’ve bought/made him. First we got him a pug costume, he wouldn’t wear it. Then we got him a dinosaur costume, wouldn’t wear it. I then made him a “Dino Lukey” costume which was just an orange sweatshirt turned inside out with a dinosaur cut out of felt with a D and an L interlocking on it, kind of like Gavin’s “Super Gavin” costume…. He won’t wear it. Won’t wear a mask, a cape..nothing. So, he’s just not going trick or treating I guess. That kid is so stubborn. We also have a black sweat suit with bones on it like a skeleton, maybe we can convince him to wear that on Halloween. His issue is that he knows we want him to wear it so he won’t. He’s VERY stubborn and pretty impossible to sway.
Shaina is going as Tinkerbell, we got her costume yesterday, she looks adorable in it. I’m going to do her make up and put her hair up like Tinkerbell in a high pony tail.
Gavin wanted me to be super mommy so I think next weekend I’m going to go out and get some more cape fabric and felt and put a M on a t-shirt it for Super Mommy. Sammi (the big dog) is wearing Lucas’ cape and going as Sam Sam. Gavin loves Max and Ruby and he used to pretend to be “super bunny” and he’d run around going “It’s super bunny and zoom zoom!!” so he’s now going to be Super Gavin and Sam Sam. LOL
So what are you/your kids going as?
