Well after a year and a half… i’ve been able to bond my 2 rabbit girls.

I finally was comfortable enough to let them live without any fences and out in the open in our living room about 10 days ago.

For a day or two, bubbles would still nip at pickles for whatever reason.

But for a week or so now, they have been fine.

But just starting 2 days ago, bubbles finally started to groom pickles a little bit on her forehead.  I sat there 1 inch away from them on the floor to see her tongue clean her forehead, etc.. just to make sure

Pickles always seems to go to bubbles behind area to groom, though bubbles usually moves away when she does that.

But this morning i noticed that pickles has hair missing from her forehead.  Seems that bubbles while grooming her, bites off some hair from her forehead.

Have any of you seen this?  It’s a sign of aggression as far as i can tell, i’ve been right there and watched it.  Just not sure why bubbles is biting some of her hair off as well.

        Thanks for any help,

        Jalil

I haven’t seen hair loss like that, but I do know that my girl is quite an aggressive groomer. It took her months to be able to groom even semi-gently – she just doesn’t understand how she’s supposed to do it, but she tries. I think, over time, she’ll get more gentle and your other bun’s reaction to her will help her learn.
