My bunny was on my lap when suddenly she made some weird noises and when I looked over at her this thing was lying on the floor in front of her. Very confused because I know rabbits can’t regurgitate and it wasn’t even completely wet ( I know, disgusting). Does anyone know what happened??? Did she have it stuck in the back of her throat or something??

That is indeed a lot of fur, and definitely in the realm of what can come off a rabbit with how much fur they lose during a molt, for example.

Is your rabbit an unspayed female perchance? Is there a chance she is nesting due to experiencing a false pregnancy?

If this does not apply, I would recommend grooming her much more often. If this is the amount of fur she is taking off herself, then she is going through a heavy molt and needs assistance so she does not ingest a lot of fur. You’re correct that rabbits cannot regurgitate up hair balls. What probably happened was she gathered so much fur in her mouth while either nesting or grooming that she had to spit it all out.
