If all goes according to plan, the new addition to our little family will be arriving this afternoon.![]()

Cuuute! I love the name too! Can you please get him a pet dragon toy????
Awwww! Piggy!!! So cute ![]()
I will totally be on the lookout for a safe tiny dragon toy to put in Hagrid’s hut. ![]()
It’s a piggy magically disguised as a hedgehog!
So cute!! Hagrid!!
Awesome! What a sweet little piggy.
So cute!
I can’t wait. Best wishes for his arrival.
bam – that was my first thought too when the shelter sent me that photo. LOL ![]()
Curses! Incoming dust storm = poor visibility in the desert = not safe to bring Hagrid today.
The shelter will try again Saturday afternoon. *Whaaaaa!*
![]()
Ah want mah piggy!!! lol
He’s so cute! ![]()
Awww….cutie! I love GPigs. I had 2 in High School. Love their little noises. Boui Boui Boui….
Looks like a handsome fella. Hope you guys meet soon.
Aaand he’s home. ![]()
He was soaked in pee after the long drive, so we did a bath first thing. He scolded me throughout the whole process, but once I wrapped him up in a towel to warm up and cuddled him until he was dry, he started crooning to me, so I think I’m forgiven.
Sadly, his nails are so long they’re nearly curling up on themselves, and it must be awfully uncomfortable, if not downright painful, but in a day or two, once he’s more confident in his new surroundings, mommy will trim them. Until then, he has a nice thick layer of soft fleece to walk on.
Chewie is super curious and parked his fluffy butt by Hagrid’s hut to observe him tunnel about under the hay, after which he scampered to the nearest rug and did some crazy binkies, so I think he’s happy to see his friend again.
Once the smaller hutch he came in has been thoroughly cleaned (just not today, since I’m still tired from this stupid virus), I’m going to figure out a way to attach it to the bigger hutch so he can have two “rooms” in his dominion.![]()

Aww yay!! Just look at how cute he is. He is in wonderful caring hands now and I’m sure he will settle in very well. So excited and happy for you ![]()
Yaaaay – new piggie in the BB family !!!!!
Euh Q (“my name is Bond…”) , just a word of advice from a BB friend (me!), you are going to have to put that lovely bobble hat through a VERY hot wash to get it to fit Hagrid’s head !!
(We had two piggies when I was young – one was called “Branston” and the other … can you guess…? “Pickle” !!
)
Glad he’s home
Podge is quite curious about our two too!
So adorable! I’m glad he made it home safely. ![]()
Aww… Thanks everybun.
Vienna Bond: LOL I wanted a hidey that wasn’t too bulky since he’s in the hutch instead of the wading pool (long story) so I figured a cozy hat might do the trick.
Welcome Hagrid !

You silly. Hagrid has a hut not a hat!
Some inspiration for you. ![]()

Welcome home Hagrid!
Lol for some reason I wanna call him Haggie
Welcome to your new home, little guy! ![]()
JG: Oh lord, now I so want to build that hut. LOL
You build it, then Hagrid can have fun chewing on it
just use edible materials!
Do piggies pig-struct like bunnies bun-struct?

Do piggies pig-struct like bunnies bun-struct?
Choco and Latte both maintain pig-struction is far more thorough than bun-struction, though of course the bunnies disagree. One thing is for sure, with the six of them, I have a full demolition crew!
And I’m fully confident Hagrid won’t let the pig-struction team down ![]()
Welcome Hagrid! My hat is also confiscated by the buns.
GJ, you have your hands full for sure! I though piggies were nice and sweet little animals. As opposed to bunnies ![]()

I have two piggies going haaa haaa haaa, rofl rofl rofl, fooled another one
![]()
BTW, where are all our Hagrid photos? Pretty please ![]()
He arrived on the afternoon of a dusty Saturday. If there’s any natural light left when I get home from work, I’ll snap a few more with an actual camera.
If not, I’m afraid it’ll have to wait until Thursday (3-day weekend – woot woot!).
That reminds me, I need to stop by the grocer’s and pick up a pineapple (for both boys) since we’re all out, and a red pepper for the piggy (Chewie prefers orange peppers).
I’m heartbroken. Someone must have seen Hagrid the day he was delivered and complained because I got an email this week saying absolutely no rodents in the building (my building is owned by my employers) so he needs to return to the shelter.
And he was just starting to do zoomies and popcorns and wheek wheek while standing up for me to pick him up and cuddle him. ![]()
Oh man, Q8. What jerks. I’m so sorry!! It’s a GUINEA PIG for heavens sake (and I know they’re rodents too, but who even hates piggies?!). I’ve had mice, and mice aren’t even that bad. I feel so bad for you and Hagrid.
((Q8)) my heart goes out to you, and poor (((Hagrid))) too ![]()
Oh no, I’m so sorry!!! How mean. So sad.
Oh no, how ignorant !!!! It’s not like he’ll bark the building down! Do people not have anything better to do?
You’ll know for next time to hide him in a packet of rice crispies in a shopping bag
Why the rule? Does that count for rabbits too….? (gulp)
No… some people have cats; and they know about Chewie. Plus Chewie is silent, meticulously clean, and non destructive. Unlike some of the cats in question who were ferals “adopted” off the street.
So sorry to hear this!
I get so angry when people and their stupidity and lack of personal life start to interfere with everything.
And the stupidest are usually the loudest.
Uhhhg, I’m so angry right now.
My heart is with you Q8.
Oh, Q8, I’m so so sorry for you! It’s not like she would have multiplied like rats and diseased everyone. Some people are so stupid.
Thanks, everybun. I agree – what possible threat could one well loved piggy pose? But he goes back to his bunny friends at the shelter tomorrow morning. ![]()
Oh no… I am so sorry to hear that Q8, I can’t even imagine that someone would complain about a guinea pig. I’m really sorry that this happened.
Hugs and thoughts with you and Chewie.

So sorry! ![]()
Well… it’s done. My sweet piggy is gone. The shelter picked Hagrid up and Chewie and I are now living a way-too-quiet life without him. Chewie seems to miss his cute wheekwheeking and cooing too – he is sniffing around “looking” for him. ![]()
Poor dear darling Hagrid.
